A good dog for me

Hi I am going to get a dog but I wanna know what kind I would like a big dog that likes cats and wont run away.

what ever you do dont get a husky lol
when my husky gets out it takes us ages to get him back...

There's lots of good breed big dogs...As far as the liking cats and not running away...you have to teach them, and get a fence.

I agree with phrannie, rather consider the space you'll need for your dog, some dogs need large spaces and others can live in small spaces, a good dog (very clever and easy to train) is a bullmastiff, they are also bred for living in small spaces and are very good natured.

LOL...Ifeelcrazy...when you or I think of a big dog...we think in the 120 to 130 lb range...when most people think of a big dog, it's in the 50 to 70 lb range...I just kinda got a kick out that...

get a weenie dog, that way if the cat and the dog get into it, the cat has a fair fight!
Weenie dogs are very loyal and rarely run away since they are at your side
