going from a size 14 to a size 8 is a lot to do before january...
first set yourself a sensible time
you can't think of it as a diet
you have to think of it as YOUR diet, the one thats going to last forever
a new, healthy change
tell your parents your worried about their health, eating all that fatty foods isn't good for them or you
ask your mum to give you the money to go shopping,
buy fruit and veggies
fish, etc
just eat healthily
start to excercise, starting tomorrow!
join a gym, go down for an hour a day
grab your ipod, and have fun.
do crunches and stuff at home
around 50 a day will do
you won't notice a huge difference immediately
but over time you will see the weight come off
don't do it unhealthily...
it isn't the way to go
good luck!
first go to a doctor and get your bmi (body mass index)
correctly calculated for your height and age
he/she will be able to tell you if you overweight, how overweight you are,
and what weight range you should be in
take it from there
second, set yourself a more reachable goal
dropping 4-6 dress sizes in just over a month is a very unreasonable goal
at the very most, aim for 2 dress sizes
you cant just drop weight off quickly
it takes time...months...not days or weeks...months
to drop 4-6 dress sixes you would need to eat healthily and exerscise reguarly for at the very least 3 month
but it can take up to 6 months and over to reach your goal
so dont aim for it all by the end of the month
because you will be dissapointed
aim for 2 at the very most
also by dropping that many sizes you may end up being underweight
so do speak to the doctor and ask if its an apropriate size for your age and height as well
How to LOSE weight?
First, determine from the information below, what your weight should be. Then set yourself goals of a week, 2 weeks, a month, 3 months, 6 months and a year. As you see yourself meeting your goals it becomes easier. Remember, you didn't gain your weight overnight so don't expect to lose if overnight. Plus, weight lost slowly is more likely to stay off than weight lost in a hurry.
If you need conversion info, 1 kg = 2.2 pounds and 2.54 cm = 1 inch (12 inches = 1 foot) (1 stone = 14 pounds)

How can I Lose 1 pound of body weight per week?
One pound of body fat is equal to about 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound of weight per week, you need to eat 500 calories/day LESS than you burn.
But it's not a good idea to lose weight simply by cutting calories. As well as decreasing calories you should increase your daily physical exercise. This helps to burn calories and build more lean tissue which in turn burns more calories.
What should a minimum calorie intake be?
As a guide to minimum calorie intake, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that calorie levels never drop below 1200 calories per day for women or 1800 calories per day for men. Even these calorie levels are quite low.

Another thing that helps to lose weight is to always eat a good breakfast. That helps to jump start your metabolism which helps start burning calories. Also, try to drink 8 eight ounce glasses of water every day. One before every meal (except breakfast) and before all snacks. That helps curb your appetite which helps reduce caloric intake.
Simply a Rose to brighten your day,
And maybe lessen the cares in your way;
And also, too, to help you to know,
That in knowing you, many others grow!
