Who we are

Welcome to icd.org.pk, the official website of the Pakistan English Language Teachers’ Association (PELTA). PELTA is a registered, non-political, non-governmental organization made up of English language teachers from schools, colleges, and universities in Pakistan. Established in 2014 in Lahore, our mission is to enhance the quality of English language teaching and learning across the country. We believe in the power of collaboration and self-improvement to make the most out of the limited resources available in Pakistan. PELTA stays abreast of the latest teaching techniques and works to adapt them to the specific needs and challenges of Pakistani society. We are proud to be affiliated with prestigious international organizations such as the University of Cambridge (UK), Michigan University (USA), and the University of Melbourne (Australia).

What we Do

PELTA serves as a hub for English language teachers in Pakistan to connect, share resources, and access professional development opportunities. We organize workshops, seminars, and conferences to foster a community of practice among educators. PELTA also provides networking opportunities with experts in the field and connects teachers with international training programs and certifications. As a project of the Institute of Career Development, a Cambridge English Exam Centre in Pakistan, we are committed to raising the standard of English language education in the country.
