Writing adult stories

I was wondering how many of you have ever written stories with, well, adult content (especially kinky ones).
I have been writing and publishing online for years, but have only recently had a few people read one of my adult rated stories. I...

would like to write more like that but don't really know how to start, what to pay attention to and so on.
What do you think is important about that kind of thing?

I think the most important thing is to figure out what your target audience is. In my experience most women will shy away from anything labelled pornography. So most likely your writting will go toward guys. Keep that in mind and think of what your boyfriend likes about your stories.

If you are interested in BDSM make sure your stories are labelled that way and posted at an adult BDSM site. This way the right people find your stories.

Last, but not least, this is an adult story. 95% of people know how sex works (made up number), some of those people should at least know how an orgasm feels. You shouldn't have to relate every little bit of detail, but enough to get your points across. Good luck on those stories.

Most of the women (if they are your target audience) search for the fulfilling ideas behind the sexual activity. Relate it to something in life that is either bothering them or something they have to work through. If you want it to be a feel-good book, relate it to something they (the characters) remember or feel positive about.

Guys (if they are your audience) don't want back story. They want a slight feeling of control in the books (usually) but it is also important to include a line of respect somewhere.
