Thunder Robot Asked by funadvice 5 months ago, 16 answers.

Why does it matter, to whorship God at Chruch..if all you have to do is accept Jesus at even the last miniute? Would you rather spend eternity with God or no, would you rather go to he*l?.. I know everyone has a different life/expieriance. Whats hell really like christians?

I would thing Hell would be worse for a believer. . . But still I'd rather lead a christian life style.

I think to know about God, and to think that you will wait until the very last minute, to reach up and ask for forgivness, and salvation, is very dangerous.

We are not promised a tommorrow.

Yesterday is gone.

Tommorrow might not come.

The bible says that today, is the day of salvation.

If Jesus is not our savior, our protector, our healer, etc. then, that means that we do not have salvation. If we are not saved, God is under no obligation to help us, in any way. He has provided all of our needs, given us the ability to recreate, so, we can basically live on our own.

However, who are we going to look to when calamity strikes?
What about when the dr. says, I have done all I can do?
When our spouse leaves us with 4 children , and we are all alone?

What about the doubts that plague us?

What about the spot that is within each of us, that belongs to God alone, and
he is the only one that can fill it?

What about an accident?

In life, there are many 'what if's', and I can promise you from experience, that it is much easier to deal with life, with God, rather than without him.

If you could only understand his benefits, this waiting thing, would not even be an issue. You would run to him, and fall at his feet...

1. Right there you are wrong it doesnt matter if you even go to church because you can just worship god at home or what not right? well its not like that cause who can honestly say they do thats why we go to church to be around others like us to reassure that god id still here to keep strong in doing good,,, another reason people go to church is becuase in the bible god says basically (in terms used today) two heads are better then one its better to worship together then alone,,an army is better with a thousand then with only one
2.Even if you accept god at the last minute doesnt mean your getting into heaven God knows who's heart is pure and who is trully sorry and the ones who think oh ill do what ever I want now and last minute ask to be for given and go to heaven
god made us you dont think he knows?
3God says heaven is basically the best place is the world is undescribable thats how wonderful it is!!! I can help you picture it
think of your favorite food-
think of your favorite place to live-
think of all your favorite animals-
think of a place that only has your favorite things in it and nothing else
with no pain or suffering
Heaven is a trillion times better then that!!
4.Hell is a place with fire and darkness no light because because is not there
Hell is a place were you still have your mortal bodies
All you feel is pain and suffering
All you hear is screams of people getting raped
yes people are raped in hell
the demons are 10 or 15 ft tall
Hell is a places were your worst fears are with you tormenting you not day in and day out but for eternity
The demons are so horrifying if you were to see one now you wouldnt be able to handle it

please please please if you have any question about what I said or anything just message me

Did it ever occur to the people who made up God that people are different. It makes no sense for hell to even exist, if God is indeed all loving and all forgivful, he would reason and try to understand where people are coming from, for those who weren't willing to accept or rebell. Simply casting people into hell, for not believing or accepting or not being' pure'. I'd rather spend eternity away from such stupidity.

If God is so loving and provides us with daily blessings such as a roof over your head, food to eat, air to breath, and many commodities we take for granted. Why be so selfish and say He will still allow you to enter heaven. You may not feel deserving after you try to enter the gates of heaven. Hell I'm sure is all selfishness and evil in every which way. You wouldn't like it that is for sure. You seem to have an anger towards him but it will go away when you eventually mature. Worshipping God at church allows you to become one with God's family. We are to share His love and feel it as we are in His presence and in His home. I couldn't say if your home is such a warmhearted place if you seem to be having an issue here.

Hell as I understand it:

Hell is a place of eternal damnation for those who rejected the Gospel of Christ. It is described in the Bible as a horrifying place. Matthew 18:8-9 describes the eternal fire of Hell. Matthew 3:12 speaks of unquenchable fire. And Revelation 20 poignantly describes the lake of burning sulfur and place of perpetual torment.

Hell is a place of constant agony and is set aside for Satan and all of those who reject Jesus Christ. No person on earth would willingly walk into hell. But, unfortunately, so many people are doing just that. In the face of truth and warnings, they continue to live in denial and are walking straight into Hell.

If this is you, please consider heeding the warnings of Scripture and answering the call of the Holy Spirit by accepting Jesus as your personal Savior. 1 John 1:9 promises, 'If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.'...hope this helps you !!

mamk I don't know if the was directed toward me, but I'm going to respond accordingly.
First off, I'm atheist.
Second, God doesn't deserve all the credit you've given him.
Third, God doesn't exist.

Why'd you want to go to heaven anyways? It'd get boring after awhile. Heaven sounds nausiating .

And to all the rest of the people, hell doesn't exist either, neither does Heaven, do you believe every fairytale story you read? What makes this one any different? Sure it's possible, but not true.

This may sound pretty bad to the other Christians, but I'm personally not very interested in Heaven right now. I'm certain that it's going to be great when I get there, but I'm having too much fun serving God here and now to be constantly thinking about my eternal future.

So I don't go to church and pray and read my Bible to ensure my future; I do it to keep my present from being Hell. When I try to have things my way, things go wrong. I shout at my kids. I sulk at my husband. Nothing seems fair. When I pray and try to do things God's way, things go better. I see the other person's point of view. I feel stronger love for the people around me.

So for me, my faith is about making life right now heavenly instead of hellish. I am eternally grateful to Jesus for saving me for Heaven, but I'm also sticking to Him for the here-and-now.

-o- this is me ^^;; Answered by niam0ra on Mar 04, 2008, 05:52AM

just to answer that first oppinion of yours, 'why does it matter to worship God at church when all you hae to do is accept Jesus at the last minute' or something around those lines.
In the bible it says that you should be in fellowship with other believers (church).
Also being a christian is more then 'ACCEPTING' God. You have to believe in Jesus not only with your mind, but your heart, body and soul.
Theres more to it then just saying I BELIEVE. You have to confess with your heart and your mouth that you believe.
And when you are at that stage of Christianity you would be willing to give up your OWN life for the name of the Son of God, Jesus Christ.
We as sinners are human and sometimes question if God REALLY exists, I know what you mean I've been/going through it! But when that happends God is just testing how strong our faith is, some peoples are stronger then others. But we have to realize God loves us equally
ANYWAY, Hell to a christian is being defeated by the devil. When the devil tempts us and we dont repent and we just follow his(the devils) ways that is when we are getting defeated. And when judgment day comes along for ALL OF US, we will have to stand before the Father and explain everything to the GOD of all GODS who created you, and loves YOU so much that he was willing to send his own son down here on earth to die for our foolish sins.
I hope I've helped you, and answered your questions!

yes that's what I thought.
as long as you accept jesus/God before you die you go to heaven.
then again is you are good person who's nevre sinned, then you go to heaven anyway!

on the other hand it's always said God forgives everyone...so why do some go to hell?

Sorry nebula I wasn't referring to your comments. If you are athiest that is fine. I just want to describe what Christians should be thinking about. Certainly not to be selfish.

geriann: >>> on the other hand it's always said God forgives everyone <<< - that's not what the Bible says, read John 3 : 16 - it makes it clear (only believers shall not perish)...Hope this helps !!

What is hell really like? God calls it the 'Lake of Fire' It is where the wicked will go and Satan and his evil angels at the end of time. They will be destroyed so that there will never again be sin because Satan and the wicked will be no more
