Worth it if i buy a nikon d40?

Do you think it'll be worth it if I buy a nikon D40?

I'm not really good with cameras, but I suppose if it's got everything you need on it and there are a lot more things to do with it and everything like that and you've asked some people if they think the Nikon D40 is good (well some of your friends) I would consider getting it. I hope this advice is helpful to you.=]

if you can use it with A LOT more than just for self-usage, like if it'll be used for school projects and all, then it's worth your parents' money..

I have a D50, d40 is more user friendly if your new to DSLR's but if this will be your 1st camera and your not too serious about photography as in your not really into reading about your camera what it all can do and etc, id stick to a point and shoot camera its more causal you dont have to worry about much of any maintenance if any, any pic you take will look decent without putting much effort into it, big plus easy to carry it around compared to DSLR. if you have anymore questions msg me im bored :P
