Running isnt all you can do because if you countinue to run everywere you will get quite muscular legs..you can try eating good food as well like vegetables, fruits, cereals, yoghurts all of these food choices will improve your weight and energy as well as many other key areas...also you wont gain any muscle with it.
But as well as running if you do weights, dont do them for a long period of time, tummy tucks and crunches would improve your stommach area and you dont usually get visible muscles with this method unless you do it many times a day...
if you really dont want to build muscle, dont weight lift. but I think weight lifting is great because it boosts your metabolism a lot more than just cardio, and for a long period of time. this means that more than likely you will not only be burning calories and fat while you are lifting weights, but when you are resting( sitting, laying, not exercising) as well. this is because the more muscle you have the more calories your body requires to burn in order to keep that muscle. you may think the more muscle you have the bulkier you will be, but this is NOT TRUE...why? because muscle literaly takes up less space than fat., which means you will look leaner AND more sculpted. you dont get bulky unless you eat a TON and take supplements meant for bulking up. some people react to weight lifting differently and say they feel bulkier a tiny bit but only right after they lift...this is b/c your muscles have been tearing and repairing so they enlarge a bit, but you will find they will deflate or loosen within an hour or so afterwards, esp. if you stretch.
if you decide to do weights you should only do them 2-3 times a week...id say like every other day. this is so your muscles have time to recover and so that they have time to repair(if they have time to repair, more than likely they will grow. muscles require more and more calories/fat to burn as they grow which is good.)
also weight lifting, contrary to what many would think, prevents osteoporosis!
I hope that that helped!!!
