Ok whenever its a couple of days before my period I know that I can get pregnant but I was wondering when is the best time to have sex without getting pregnant. please dont think that im a ho3 or something but I was just wondering

well if your not goign to use a condom,or even if you are, the best time to have sex and not get pregnant is within a week after your period .

FACT:
You can get pregnant at ANY point of your cycle, it's just more likely at some parts.

Why aren't you using a condom, or birth control???

Maybe slow down and wait awhile before having (any more) sex.

Statistically and theoretically the safe time is right before your period and right after it, for about a week in each case. That's because ovulation is supposed to occur on or about 14 days before your next period starts.

Practically speaking, it doesn't offer a high chance of protection. It has a 20% failure rate, which means that 1 in 5 will get pregnant.

Compare that with the birth control pill, which has a 3% failure rate.
