a lot of christians will come on here and tell you magik is evil, and magik is not evil I speak from my own teachings because people are ignorant and judgemental about occult practitioners, what you have to understand magik its a philosephy and a tool, that is fueled by a liberation of emotions, and it takes a long time to understand, I mean I'v practised since I was 14, but only recently I have grasped the idea it beholds.

Do not get spells off the intenret, I advise you to get a book of spell correspondents and then write your own spell (especialy if you are a poet or writter) because its more personal, or even reserch sigil magik, but one thing if it works for you do not get consumed by the addiction magik can become, then you could end up abusing the system and being selfish.

Last peice of advice, only get into magik if you reserch it, I started reserching magik and the craft when I was 11, and did three years before I started, you need to understand the art before you practise the art to the full potencial, or you will take it for granted and it will take you for granted, but only use magik to help you if you commit your life to it.
If not then just find another way to solve your problems by getting up and doing somthing

Magic doesn't exist. You'll only get what you're wishing for if you go out and do it yourself - simply hoping isn't usually enough.

some people hold magic in very high regards and I would appreciate it if you respected that. thanks.
as for the question asked in the answers, on how to research it.
define it, theres researching just the magic, then there's the religions that are closely tied to it...either way, go to a book store and look in the new age section, you will have lots of resourses there, also, if you have questions, feel free to funmail me happy
good luck

I'm sure they do. That doesn't mean that it's real, though. If it were, you would be able to demonstrate it under controlled conditions.

arachnid I think you'll find *magic* is real. It's called stage illusions and tricks that magicians use. On the other hand *magick* is also very real. Is it because you can't visibly see it that you don't believe? You can visibly see energy but it is there and very real. Magick is influencing that energy to get the desired result.

I'm sorry hun but the only way you're going to get over your fear is to confront it. As for a job that is something I think you should get on your own without magickal help. And healing friendship powers? Try understanding the way people work, understanding the little bits of information we gain from body language and try to understand people emotions. If you can relate to peoples emotions and if you can see every point of view a lot of the time then you well on your way to being a great friend. Friends give advice that allow others to help mend friendships. But you can't force it to happen, people are constantly changing and two people that used to get on may not get on as well in five years time.

I really wouldn't jump to magick unless you've really thought it through and researched it and are aware of the consequences. But I would advise a simple candle spell.

No, it's because nobody has ever demonstrated it in controlled conditions. If you can't even demonstrate its existence, why should I give it any more credence than belief in fairies, or invisible unicorns, or the Flying Spaghetti Monster?

Well that's fair enough. I understand where you are coming from perfectly. But, science cannot explain everything and at the moment I don't believe we have the technology to research magick. And only until a good number of credible scientists do experiments in the area of magick with results indicating that magick is real. The only problem with this however is that most credible scientists won't even entertain the thought of researching magick because it is ludicrous. Apparently. No one can prove that their God/Goddess of their religion exists but so many people still have faith. Maybe we cannot prove it really exists at this current time but could you really prove it doesn't? The witch trials did not happen for nothing. And magick is real enough to be mention in the bible. Do you understand my point of view? To tell someone something doesn't exist because you believe that I feel is wrong. Especially as the person asking the question obviously believes enough to ask in the first place. You stated it as fact but we all know facts can change especially with the development of new technology.

What technology do we need? If the effects of magick are so subtle that we can't measure them with current technology, then how can it have any meaningful impact on the world?

***Maybe we cannot prove it really exists at this current time but could you really prove it doesn't?***

No. Can you prove invisible flying pink unicorns don't exist?

***Do you understand my point of view? To tell someone something doesn't exist because you believe that I feel is wrong.***

I understand your point of view, but I don't agree with it. If you believe in things that there's no evidence for, you leave yourself open to believing in practically anything, with no way to tell if it's correct or not.

Actually magick can be explained scientifically *sigh*

and hey giai3, to those who don't believe in magick or any religions, do you really expect them to pick and choose what religions they should respect more than another? For those who don't believe it's all = bullshit
and that's how they treat it, equally as bullshit
though I disagree that magick as some call it is fake, I'm not complaining, it's being treated equally like every other religion by atheist(assuming you're one). Can you say the same(that you treat EVERY and ALL religions the same in all TRUE HONESTY)

Though, again, I disagree, I've had strange sh*t happen to me, lol
I'm a logical person quite scientific
Everything that was, is, and ever will be can and eventually will be explained by science, however it doesn't mean it can be logically, there's some things in science that seem to make no logical since at all.

Now, getting to the question, it seems to me your 3 “wishes” can be easily solved through hardwork
Try submitting at least 5-20 job applications a week, and *boom* you’re bound to be hired, depending where you live and how old you are.
If nothing happens, you don’t get hired make a business of your own-house cleaning, yard work, dog sitting, baby sitting, ect.
What I do to get over a fear, I confront it dead in the face.
Right now I’m afraid of Great Whites, guess what I’m going to do?...That’s right, I’m going to swim with ‘em. Yes, sounds crazy, but I just gotta do it, it’ll scare the sh*t out of me, seems kind of like fun, and I would of confronted my fear, and get over it (or eaten by it if I’m not carful, but that’s why I’m doing research).
Healing friendships, just call them up, see where you stand, ask what happened, try to make it better.
Now if you want “powers” and to be able to wield magick, I suggest STUDY STUDY STUDY , then take a few more steps into it. Best way to study is under someone’s wing, but if you can’t, see if you can’t talk to a few who actually know what they’re talking about(that’s the hard part) and/or finding good books in which the author knows what they’re talking about(just as hard).
I suggest for your first read Witches from the Mystery Library

And for further info on how to deal with problems, try watching The Secrete
pretty good movie and seems to actually work. It’s not tetchily not about magick, but it a playing factor in it, and it’s described very well in this documentary

I'm not looking for 'explanations', but _evidence_, which ought to be in ample supply if it really does exist (science deals in evidence and theories, not 'explanations').

arachnid am I seriously led to believe that you came onto this question to rant and rave and don't tell me you are not ranting and raving because you are voicing your opinions and belief where it is not wanted and when people question you about try and tell them otherwise.

I really do question people like you they make no logical sense to me, perhaps manners is a skill you should try and learn and believe as you will you don't see these people going onto your profile and saying believe in magick now do you so why do it to these people, so be a gentlman and stand down otherwise despair at your folly because these people will not change their beliefs just because you dictate it to be.

***and don't tell me you are not ranting and raving because you are voicing your opinions and belief where it is not wanted and when people question you about try and tell them otherwise.***

I'm not 'ranting and raving', I'm putting forth a rational and empirical point of view. Nor am I dictating anything - just suggesting people look at the evidence rather than live in fantasy.

When you ask a question here, you don't get to restrict answers to just the ones you want to hear, and that's a good thing.

***you don't see these people going onto your profile and saying believe in magick now do you so why do it to these people***

I've never left a message on anyone's profile.

***be a gentlman and stand down***

You're the one who just revived a question that's been dead for over a month so you can rant at me.

You have failed to understand, you are not anwsering the question just telling your point of view which leads to a debate which is not what the site is for. When I said about leaving a message on peoples profile I didn't mean their personal profile I mean this current page. As for the last bit that is my bad, I should of checked the dates personally, all I'm saying is lets agree to disagree and have done with it.

Stating that there's no evidence spells work _is_ answering the original question. And whether or not this site is 'for' debate is open to interpretation. Finally, comparing answering a question to commenting, unsolicited, on someone's profile is completely spurious.

I give an easy way out for the both of us and yet you seem to refuse, yes you did anwser the question which I am very impressed with but you clearly didn't anwser the question in the correct fashion, she did not ask if magick exists she asked how to do a wish spell, I will be kind because I feel like being kind and give you another easy way out and we should agree that we both disagree and leave it at that.

The original question - ***I was wonderin wod magic help me?? have you got any wish spells??***

***Stating that there's no evidence spells work _is_ answering the original question. ***

That is not technically answering the question, they didn't ask whether there was evidence they asked if it would help them and if anyone knew any wish spells. You don't NEED evidence of something for it to help you. That's what religion is all about, faith.

If something doesn't work, it won't help them. I was pointing out that there's no evidence they work (not to mention, plenty of evidence they don't) - hence, answering the question.

That's not technically true. Proved by the use of placebos.
