Why is it that racism still exists?

Just wondering, why does racism still exist.

because people are STUPID and cant see
its just a freaking skin tone and that we are all beautiful!

it wont ever end sadly and it will only get worse.
:/ but we need to do our best not to be a part of it and show
other peole that racism is not the way to be.

I have no ideaaa! its horrible,I believe everyone is equal,it matters who they are on the inside,not how they look! it really matters if your a good person,the ony kind of people I dont like are bad people...

As long as opinions exist, I think so will racism. It's sad, honestly, but I think it all comes down to ignorance and people being major cynics. Some people are just extremely judgmental and can't look past the exterior. It's horrible.

Everyone is a person and deserves to be treated equally.

I think everyone is equal too...I mean were are all people who have f-ing feelings...some people are just azzholes and are meanies and I dont see why its 200 freakin 9!!! Gezzsh Well we ever get over this racis crap?! Prob not!!! But Like M.J said it doesnt matter if your black or white...or mexican...or whatever...we are all still people we are the same...I think people should stop looking at people 4 the color of their skin what matters is what inside that counts(:

Racism is a multifaceted issue. One thought is that it is societal, we are taught to be racist via the propagation of stereotypes. Along this ideology race is used predominately to make one person feel better about or justify their own monetary or social standing. I feel that human nature itself leads to racism as we as humans have greed and other HUMAN emotions that lead us to dislike another person and we just use the differences between us to help satisfy those feelings. For example I am a lower class white male but I may make a racist remark about a Mexican-American of a higher class just so I can feel as though I am above him even though he is socio-economically better off than me. The world is hardly equal sadly. We are all human yes, but we all want to be the BEST at something, so not everyone can be the best otherwise we are just all average. See the problem now?

because theres always gonna be someone with a stupid opinion and weither there right or wrong it dosnt make it right to judge just look at obama hes the first black prez and I bet theres someoe onn earth thts saying why him

Because there are still people on earth.

Because people can't get over stupid prejudices.

Peoples opinions can change over time, I hope everyone knows that. I think racism still exists because people refuse to educate themselves. I don't think racism will ALWAYS exist. For right now though it's just ignorance.
