Why focus on one style?

It seems like a lot of people these days are so focused on one style (clothing wise) and I really don't get it. Doesn't it get kind of boring after a while? Like seeing a shirt in a store that you really like and being like No, I wont get it because...

it doesn't fit in with my style. I personally wear all different kinds of styles, depending on my mood and where I'm going.

To everyone who is all caught up in one style, I encourage you to try something new for a change.

usually people want to stick with one style when they're teenagers
its the whole label thing they want to acheieve
prep, geek, scene, emo, punk, skater, barbie
I don't agree with it
some days I dress in all abercrombie, the next Im wearing the shirt I bought at hot topic
its just what I feel like wearing
people shouldn't care how they look through the eyes of others

I'd been wearing skater shoes and kinda tight jeans w/ American Eagle graphic tee's ever since I was in like 6th but I just recently started wearing 3 quarter sleeve button up fitted blouses w/ cute painted print stilletto's and tight ankle pants,I also had my bangs grown into the rest of my hair and I decided to get them cut and now they are a lil above my eye brows but I love them.Reminds me of Micha Barton kinda.I can also still put them back in a pin.I LOVE my new style I can still look girly and also I can now look sophisticated and classy : ) I had a modeling offer but I'm not going to take it b/c all it'll do is degrade me put me on a ridiculous diet and basically own me.I want to do what I want NOT what other people want.So TAKE THE RISK!!!

Its because people are tryingt to potray themselves as Skater, or goth, or prep, or whatever. Seriously, try the style called YOURSELF [not you personally but people in general]. Where things because you like how they look, not because you want to be a certain label.

I'm on the same page.
I think people have issues with identity.
We all go through those phases.
Apparently some of us never grow out of it.
