Why does getting older have negative images attatched?

Why do young girls assume that because I am 45 that I am suppose to be fat old and wrinkled?? Contraire- check out all of those beautiful smart actresses today!!

I remember being a teen and being so afraid of turning 30, because it was sooo old...I'm 34 now, and I don't feel a day over 20

well young people never realize that they are going to get old one day and being old doesn't mean you are going to be ugly ... if you take proper care of yourself you would look young and beautiful ... its all about how you take care of yourself ...

I Know what you mean.. im sick of insults to.. they will get older to.. they just dont see that yet but before they know it they will be our age.

Uhm because aging comes with a decline in a lot of things... and that is just plain biology... slowing of reflexes, slowing of metabolism, decrease in short term memory... wrinkles... etc... that is just life... why is aging a negative thing, well that is culturally specific... in other cultures older members are seen as wise, and respected... it's simply your culture that values youth and what that brings...

Young girls assume that because you are 45 that you are suppose to be fat old and wrinkled.I think that was just an old stereotype. Maybe they saw lots of people over 30 and said that all people over thirty are fat,old,and wrinkly,but not all stereotypes are true.One boy at my old school said being female means I'm one of those young preppy gals who are really dumb and only talk about fashion and boy bands and etc.But that's not true.All females can admit that it's not true.You don't have to believe that stereotype because if you look at that picture you can see that you aren't fat,wrinkly,and you don't even look old.
