Why does everyone I tell about me getting a giant snake think

It's going to be able to eat me? They can't get past a humans shoulders. The only way it could eat me is if I was asleep, and it coiled around my legs and swallowed me from the feet up. So I'm perfectly fine, cause I'm pretty sure they don't often swallow prey that way.

tell everyone against it you know what you are getting into and to just suck it. I hate it when people tell me how dangerous my snake is going to be, thats like people telling you not to get a pitbull because they are capable of killing people. (more people get eaten by sharks or struck by lightening then killed my pitbulls a year, so go ban lighting and sharks in most states!!)

lol and then you can take it around with you and let people et freaked out. I've got a baby red rat snake and I always take it to barns and noble or starbucks with me, they either freak out or want to hold it. it's hilarious!!

How big is the snake, because in all actually there are snakes large enough to eat an entire water buffalo. it really depends. I know im not the greatest to say this but I kill fairly large snakes all the time ( 8-12 feet long, 6 inches wide or so)in my chicken coops and they can swallow pretty big things. Just remember, they don't see you as a friend, you are a warm blooded creature, and to them warm blooded creatures are prey.
