Why do young couples think they're in love?

Ok 12-16 year old teens think they are TOTALLY IN LOVE with their boyfriends or girlfriends. But are they really in love? Are they sure that's their one TRUE love? Sorry to say, but it's no. That's the truth and the truth hurts. It amazes me to see how...

all these kids say that their boyfriend/girlfriend are their whole life and they'll do anything for them but really they are not going to be together forever, they're all going through a phase right now and as they get older they'll start to understand what I'm talking about right now. They may disagree with me on this but watch they will go through exactly what EVERY teen goes through, it's called LIFE.

They just dont understand it yet, almost every young teen goes through what they feel like is love. They dont realize what true love is until they are older. It's part of life.
They confuse love with life/lust/and infatuation. It has a lot to do with their raging hormones. Everyone wants to feel loved and be in love, they just try and rush it.
Although that doesn't mean that it can't happen. Some people do fall in love that soon, and stay together.

Well I get your point but they could have meet the right person but most teens just think that they have.

this is for ally xo. ok I never said that it was for EVERYBODY that didn't last I know there are some that do make it last for a long time. And actually I say that I was never in those situations before because I chose not to be, I'm an independent girl and I'm very patient in those types of situations. but don't tell me that just because I've never been in those types of situations doesn't mean I don't know people who are. and I see it everyday happening to them. and as for KEEPTHESUNSHINING, thank you for the compliment.
