Why do we need student loans?

today I was searching for my personal loan I saw student loan...then I thought why do we need. can someone tell me?

You would have had to apply for a student loan. This loan covers your student needs while in college or university. Some of us were unable to work prior to save enough to attend school and needed to rely on the Gov't to help with room, board and school needs such as books, tuition etc. A student loan should be a low interest loan and it is not recommended to consolidate it in other loans due to it's low interest.
