Why do so many people hate anime?

I dont think south park, family guy, or futurama is anime...its ANIMATED...but not anime

Dude anime rocks! im a huge fan claymore and samuraii champloo are great im a huge elfen lied gantz baki the grappler fan! yo speak to me about it some more there isnt a lot of anime fans here I think so yeah

I don't think people HATE it, they just aren't interested in it.

I think some people hate it because it's so main stream now and they are tired of it.
If you want to see a few good anime movies try Mind Game and Paprika. They are out there and definitely worth a watch! Anime is japanese animation not anything thats animated.

I dont really know either. maybe it depends on the different persons and different interests. and you should see Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, Mar, Zatch Bell, One Piece, Blood Plus, Death Note, Mazinkaizer(Dont Know how its spelled sorry!) Dragon Ball(Any dragon ball series), Theres a devil May cry Series that is anime, yuguioh!, Full Moon, Vampire knight, etc.Theyre good.

I dont hate it but LOVE IT my friends dont seem interested so its kind of sad that I dont have friends who like it but my friends seem interested in tbs or movies or music so my favorite anime is yugioh ,full moon, vampire knight,blood plus, law of ueki,kirari revolution,sailormoon, kyo kara maoh,yugioh GX, trigun, trinity blood etc.. pretty good anime

inuyasha, full metal of course, samurai 7, death note, blood plus, bleach, burst angel, hellsing!!! all of them are good and forget what other people think about anime, they dont understand it is all.

I'm a big Dragon Ball Z fan from when I was a kid, at the same time I had friends that didn't get in to anime.

I don't like anime because it seems a little childish if certain people are obsessed with it. Like 40 year olds.

I believe people who hate anime either don’t know that much about it or are simply ignorant and just want to be @$$holes... There are all kinds of anime for everyone from young girls and boys to young men/women. Anime is split into many categories if someone happens to see one particular type of anime it defines what that person thinks anime is. It all depends on the individual. If the person is willing to take the time to understand what anime is then I’m sure they will have a harder time hating it but if they just believe what they hear or see maybe hating it will be easier for them.
