Why do puppies tilt their heads?

Why do puppy dogs when they are just sitting up staring at you tilt their head from side to side?
They are so cute when they do this, is their a reason why they do this or they just do it for no real reason?

Aw my dog does this too..shes 3 now and yeh they look GORGEOUS when they do it.

and when they look at you and that little bit of white in their eye is showing..it looks SO cute.

I think they are trying to understand us when they do that lol

sometimes it is from an ear infection...

to see you in another way I guess... I love it when they do it it is tooo cute!!

mine does that, I swear he does it just to be cute

My dog does it all the time...I think it means...'I'm puzzled, and I'm trying to figure it out'...

I have no idea but we all know it's cute. maybe it's confused, so it's looking at things from a different angel... hahaha or maybe it's their way of saying 'man you guys are idiots' without words.
