Why do people think simon from american idol is a jerk?

Do you watch American Idol? Why do so many people think Simon is a jerk? He’s just being honest. The truth hurts!

Simon's not a jerk, he is being honest. The problem is that he could come across in a nicer way...but then, so many people wouldn't be watching the show. Instead, he's sometimes cruel, however, people seem in the US at least, to enjoy watching cruel things.

When was the last time you saw a TV show that advertised itself as "see people doing wonderful things & being incredibly nice for 30 minutes!" Not going to happen. As in News, so goes TV..." if it bleeds, it leads".
