Why do i get judged for listening to rock/emo genre music??

I'm Polynesian...so I'm half Hawaiian half French Polynesian and I love to listen to Alternative rock and emo music...bands like Paramore, My friends set me on fire,system of a down and it freaken sucks because everyone thinks I'm wierd...and its because...

of my race...

They think*wtf is she listening to,shes not normal and isnt she meant to be listening to some reggae crap*...

And I'm like*WTF???*

So give me your opinion, do you think its weird to see a Polynesian person listening to rock or am I just overreacting???

Because there definitely arent many Polynesians here that listen to this style...
And plus I'm very anti-social...meaning I like to be alone...I hate talking to random people especially...heck I dont even like talk to people in my class...they sound of efffed when all they can hear is themselves...

So why are they/people being so judgmental???

yeah man your not wierd. dont listen to them. heck the best way to stick it to their face is to ask them the question your asking us.

cause this will definately point out how they are judgmental, discriminative people.

well people think that if you don't like what they like then your weird but your nt weird you are your own person and like what you want to like...people can judge you all they want but your stayin true to urself and nt followin the crowd...keep strong and do what you want to do and don't let anyone change who you r...people from everywhere listen to different music and thats normal
