Why do girls say something and mean another?

Why do girls say they dont want gifts but then get mad when they dont get gifts ?

we just say that to be nice, but really, we want you to love us and take time out of your lives, to actually think about us.. thats a way girls know you truly care about them.. gifts aren't always important to all girls, but it's still nice to recieve a little somthing once in a while from a guy, it makes them feel special!

Not everyone says it to be nice. Ell has a money spending problem that she used to be in denial of. If I bought something for her and she accepted it it made her feel like she was ackowleging that she wanted material things. She found it offensive because it was like I was telling her she had a problem. Basically it can make a girl feel shallow and like you are buying her when she doesn't want to be bought. Of course they do like material things though. So they get angry when they don't get them. Just limit what you buy for them. If you are already out and having fun don't, if she's in a mood go ahead and get her something.
