I mean, dont be so quick to judge. does anyone feel this way besides me?

Not all Christians are like that, and you can't really just lay it on just the Christian religion. Cults can look down their noses at people something shocking. If you think Christians are bad for looking down their noses at people, take a look at the Exclusive Bretheran- they will go as far as shunning any family member who leaves the religion, and will not even socialise with those outside of the Bretheran. Yeah, I agree, I've met a lot of pushy Christians, but they're not all like that.

Personally, I choose no religion, besides following my own mind, thinking critically, and trying not to hurt people. It doesn't make me a bad person. Just like Christians, Catholics, Hindus, Hare Krishnas, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, and all other religious folk are entitled to live the life they choose, you too are entitled to that.

What troubles me is the judgement you pass on an entire group of people in society, based on the actions of a few. Here you critisise their inaccurate judgement of others for not having the same beliefs and ideas as they do... when in reality, you are doing the same to them. We need to be able to exercise tolerance to others, and while we may not agree with their ideas, we need to accept other people for who they are. The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step- why don't we all aim to make the first step and see what happens?

I see where you're coming from.
However, that isn't how all Christians are.
It is a shame that there are some like that out there, but there are good ones as well.
I've never been a fan of Christianity for those reasons so I do understand

Its not just christians, every religion does it, I mean (im not racist) but I used to go to a public school in england ok and in the end it was a multi race school however all the people of coloured ethnicity looked down upon us white folk.

Every religion thinks that they are better than the others, however they all prey to one god.

I am not religious at all to be honest I think its all aload of bull. but it isnt just the christians. its everyone

thats not christianity . I am a christian this is how I see it . all of us here on this earth are born sinners we all have weakness, it could be attitudes it could be bad habits wharever it may be were all sinners when you give your life to Christ and become a born again christian and go to a church the holy sprit starts working in your life and the lord starts working in your life in your character he works in your heart to become a new creature so that mean christians are not perfect just forgiven and the bible says not to put your eyes on man but put your eyes on christ. Because the bible says He is the way the truth and the life no man can enter heaven but by him . you might ask why? well because he is the only one who died for your sins.

According to the Bible, a Christians job is to 'spread the good news' that Jesus Christ died on a cross for you (your sins - all are sinners) making a WAY for you to go to Heaven - also because they truely CARE - if someone you know had great information that would save you from a disaster, would you want them to keep quiet and not tell you ?...Hope this helps !!

I'm a "christian" but I don't particulary lable myself as one just because people that aren't christians think christians are judemental and think they are high and mighty over everyone else who don't believe the same that they do. I choose not do label myself that way even though I do have a relationship with God, but it is my personal relationship. Yeah, I can talk about it, just like anyone else can talk about their religion, but I'm not goign to force what I believe on everyone else, that's not showing love.

I totally get you. I think the same thing. They do it because thats how they were raised and they don't know any better. In a way, their brainwashed against free thinkers

I think what you are sensing is that Christians are sold out to God... that they no longer doubt that he truly is God, that he is real, that he is powerful, that he is alive and well, and working in their lives, and this can be intimidating. It is not the Christian doing this, it is the spirit of the living God, in them, doing this.

well in the bible it tells us christians to spread the good news.. thats just doing our job. and like amblessed said. if someone in your family or one of your friends absolutely knew that something would save you from dying or something wouldnt you want them to tell you?

there is sharing and there is TELLING! I think that is what you mean. I am happy when someone shares good news with me but I am usually turned off when someone TELLS me their good news in a way that says look at me, aren't I great, look what I have and look at what you don't have. I get turned off when someone tells me something when it is obvious that they have no respect for my opinion.

As I've said before, every group has its fanatics and bad representatives. We atheists also have people who are angry and say very ugly things to believers. I think it's a big mistake to judge a person by his or her label. Rather, get to know them and judge them for their morals and characters. You'll probably find that you can make friends of all stripes that way.

that's true.
religous people should not judge others.
they should let God do that.

It's also wrong to paint ALL Christians (or any group) with one broad brush.

yeah but it unfortunately it is hard to do that. everyone should just try to remember to do what eleni said and
" Rather, get to know them and judge them for their morals and characters. You'll probably find that you can make friends of all stripes that way."

of course it's true that not all christians [or religous] people judge people, but it's amazing how many are.
even if they don't judge, they often seem to preach.
such as quoting the bible.
their answer to everything is pray and let jesus/God into your life, then all your problems will dissapear.
not true!
I was brought up a christian, so I did pray and believe.
but all the things that have happened to me [and people who don't deserve pain] made me lose the faith I had.
praying does not help anything.

if a "christian" is judging or pointing fingers they are not really fulfilling their call... as christians we are called to live like Jesus Christ did... and Christ didnt mind getting his hands dirty... never looked down on anyone even the worst of sinners... and as a christian we are called to do the same... I am not perfect... I have had past addictions, I go through things, I am going through things, I struggle, and I know what it feels like to be judged... a lot of christians walk around thinking that they are high and mighty when in reality they have the biggest struggles of all... if I see someone who is struggling my job a christian is to love on them like no one self will love them... I have to act the way Christ would have acted and show them the love and compassion I want people to show me... A LOT of people turn away from the church because of hypocrite christians and to me thats extremely sad because we are all called to be like Christ and Christ never turned anyone down because of what they had done... we all make mistakes and until you see Christ through a person you wont understand... also one of the parts of being Christ like is being humble and if a person cannot humble themselves before other people then they are walking down the wrong road... if you have any more questions PLEASE send me them... if I dont know the answer I will ask people who have a greater knowledge of the word of God... sorry this was so long... I hope I helped...
