Dogs do that too. They just think it smells good and want to taste it. lol.

...or they think you're dirty, and they're trying to clean it off.
no my dog does that too
she also licks the railing to my stairs though
so I really don't judge her
um thats bad for them lotion can hert their stomach or somthin!!
I never thought about it but you are right, my dogs and cat does this too. I am not sure why though. If I find an answer I will come back with it.
I don't know...but I just hate that!!

Attracted to a Scent
Contrary to the belief that dogs lick owners purely out of affection, the aroma of the skin may actually have more to do with it. If your dog licks your legs after a bath, she could be attracted to your bath salts. Lotions and powders can also attract a dog's olfactory sense. Licking is just your dog's way of exploring the scent. While you might not want your dog licking off your best lotion, the affects on him are usually harmless.

my cat I used to have loved licking the lotion off my hand as soon as I was done rubbing it in... So I want to know why do they do that???
