There isn't 'an age'.
People start at different ages. I myself, and a lot of other people regret loosing their virginity because of being too young and with the wrong person. Its best to wait until you are older, mature, and with someone for a while before having sex. Virginity is special, and is something that shouldn't be just thrown away like its nothing.

most people wait until they are ready to have sex but then you got the ones that dont care and just want to have sex

there isnt really. but people think you shoudl be older, I mean, what if you got pregnant and you were 13, how could you support a kid when you don't even support yourself?

in some states there is a legal age but thats mostly so 30 year olds wont have sex with 10 year olds . age doesnt really matter its the relationship your in and the person your with I lost my virginity when I was 13 ((I was in love and talked to the guy for hours everyday for a year and seen him as much as possible))now im 14 and possibly pregnant. just think before you act.

That is not an age question, that is a hormonal maturity question. But on the other hand there are some laws about it, some of them are well reasoned, some others are just stupid, but that is better to follow them.
