What causes a lazy eye?

recently I have notice that my daughter has a lazy eye,is there a cure for this and whut should I do about this situation! she is only 2 years old and I cannot beleive one of her eyes is like that! why doese this happen! I seen it in other kids but no its my own! I dont have a lazy eye!! please help thanks to all

its just like when one eye starts doing all the work and the other one gets lazy, take her to the optisions (sp?) they know what to do.They might put a patch on her good eye, to stretghten the other on up they did with my little brother

I've got a lazy eye. it sucks and I cant look people in the eyes, not even my own boyfriend. I wish I could get surgery on it but I dont think my parents would let me. best of luck
