Who is dj am?

I have seen his show and love it...but at the end it says rip dj am...so how is he on the shows? its really confusing to me lol...did he do the shows before he died and family got them to air it or what?

Like most tv shows, they go into editing for months. Also there was a lot of controversy over wether to air the shows at all or not. Since the show is about drug and alcohol abuse and thats apparently why he's dead. Media thought it would be a bad example in a way, but fans persuaded them to air it.

DJ AM had been sober for a LONG time - 11 years plus. He was in a VERY bad plane crash where he and one other lived. The resulting injuries required medication to treat, and before anyone realized it his addiction spun completely out of control and consumed him. And he died.

All recovering addicts know that their disease is waiting to take over if it is given a chance. And when it starts back up, it can be deadly.

For many years before his death he was a help and inspiration to others who were trying to break their addiction. MTV and the sober community hope that his death will help everyone realize that addiction is NOT something that can be cured, only managed and controlled thru diligence.
