I think you just answered your own question
maybe its just that the girls you know get really into the books and they can't put the book down. I did that with all the Harry potter books. However, I dont really think that girls are generally faster, it just may be the girls you know. Also if you're not too into the book you're not going to be so excited to know what happens so it will take you longer to read.
I read books faster than anyone I know, and I get labelled 'nerd' for it. I love reading and I read a lot of books- 16 in a two week break from school is my average. That's even with all the camping trips/theme parks/dinners out/seeing friends etc that I do /have/go to.
When people find out about this, it's more the boys than the girls who react more strongly, usually with an expletive preceded by Holy. The girls don't seem to be that surprised, though they mask it a bit, I think.
Judging by peoples reactions, at least the boys I know are less language orientated- they don't read as much.
Gender has nothing to do with it, more of personalitywise.
Gender has nothing to do with it. Testosterone has no affect on your ability to read a book. In fact, by 5th grade I was reading college books.
And Twilight's not a big book.
no.I think its who your talkin about.I like 2 read so I read fast.a guy I know reads like 4 books a day big books.if you like 2 read ull read faster.

Do you think girls read books faster than guys?

Just a random question, I think girls tend to read books faster than guys can(well, the minimal amounts of guys that enjoy reading). like there's girls in my school that read a lengthy book like twilight or LOTR in one or two days, but for me, if I I'm not really into a book, I can take up to a month(at the least) reading a book over 2 or 3 hundred pages.I do like reading, but I just can't read a long book in two days.what do you think?
