id say chicken, it was probably a mutated form of another animal which turned into a new species.

chicken, because if the egg hatches there will be no mom to give him food and live, and how would the egg hatch if there was no warmth from teh mama chicken? XD

if something is mutated it the way it looks doesnt change

only its DNA, so its children would be different
