Where did my period go??(its long)

Ok so the last time my period started it was on July 3rd and it ended on July 8th. I have been keeping track of the days to when I should get my next period. So I waited around 28 days which is around when I usually do get my period but there was nothing...

not even the mood swings, or the weird craving for salty and sweet things. So I figured oh ok so its a little late big deal but, the days passed and I still wasnt getting my period. It is now 49 days since my last period. I am going to the ob/gyn this friday but would stress be one of the reasons why I didn't get my period? What are some other factors as to why my period suddenly vanished? I know that I am not pregant I havent had sex since January and I have had periods inbetween. Would being sexually active have anything to do with it? If I start birth control would it help regulate it?

If you haven't had sex since January, then, you're right - you're not pregnant.

You could just be having an irregular cycle, and stress can definitely cause that.
Do mention it to your doctor.

have you lost weight?
I have not come on for over a month, and I have lost weight so I think this may be my reason.

No I didnt lose weight and im not stressed out. I dont think I have been doing anything differently in order for my period to happen sad o well I guess ill find out what the doctor has to say tommorow.

ok now I finally have my period. IT TOOK LONG ENOUGH! DONT YOU THINK 50 DAYS IS A LITTLE LONG?! oh and im still going to the doctor
