Watching jon and kate + 8, where are the kids grandparents?

My husband and I enjoy watching Jon and Kate + 8. My question is where the children’s grandparents are?

I know for a fact when the kids were 9 months old. Jon said that his dad died of conjestive heart failure. They do not live close by anymore but they used to.
