When is the best time to take my mom's phone?

When is the best time to take your moms cell phone to call Kierson(a long distance friend that I love)..? My mom has figured out twice and I need to call him, to make sure he's alright, because he hasn't gotten online in a while. And I should take it at night, but what if she hears me..? And Kierson and I are in the same time zone and so I can't call at 11pm when my mom falls asleep really, because Kierson's probably in bed and asleep by then. And I can't take my mom's cell before she goes to sleep because she has to plug it in, other wise she comes to me to find it for her/get it back.
Does anyone know a good time to call him..? ((My home phone doesn't have long distance))

Place a collect call and see if he'll accept.

try maybe borrowing a friends cell phone
or ask your mom if you can call for just a minute to say hi
otherwise just be really quick and really quiet

dont use the cell phone
cell phones are expensive
and the further away the person is, the more expensive it is
use the house phone
shes going to find out either way
because she can check the dialed numbers on the cell phone and the bill will come for the house pphone
but its much cheaper to use the house phone
