People veiw emos differently. Most people label all them cutters which P's me off.
There is Scene scene people follow the emo music and also like unquie clothing.
plain old emo... just emotional
dark/depressed emo...
And cutting emo..

Emo• Emo refers to a genre of music and the resulting subculture. Emo music is similar to punk rock and indie music.
Scene• Scene is used to properly describe emo kids and the overall emo subculture.

WHAT is emo?
Emo is a lot of things. There is no true definition of emo, and emo can mean a lot of things to a lot of differn't people. To us, Emo is not a late 80's genre of music that is coming back. Today's emo is not what it was yesterday. The term may have been stolen from the 80's, but the term was the only thing that was stolen. Today emo is definitely an awesome genre of music, but it is much more than just a sub-genre of punk or indie music. It's a culture. It's a fashion statement. It's a way of life.

People often use the term to describe anyone who looks sad or depressed or has an emotional personality. You can't label someone just because of the way they look, and just because someone may fit the label, it's doesn't mean they should be labeled. It's okay to label yourself though. The emo bucket was built for people to share pictures, meet other scene kids, and to be the best community to discuss things like the true meaning of the term :-)

I find it perfectly fine
They are just people like everyone else.
And stereotypes.
People classify me as emo.
So it's whatever.
Emo is a stereotype and genre.
There is nothing wrong with it.
I love the personality the look everything.

I think that their personalltity is like not showing enough emotion.
I think that their style is ok! Like I like the Skulls!!
And I think emos are people too! JUst there hard to get through and like the color black! LOL!!

Their regular people, I hate it how people call emo's cutters.
People who cut themselves are called CUTTERS, not 'emo's. My goodness.
Emo is short for emotional; sentimental. And I've heard some people say that that 'Emo' is a type of music genre. Who knows nowadays. People use the word 'emo' for so much different stuff. Such as: music, people, clothes, hair.
Anyway, I think the 'emo look' is a really intense fashion style. I love it.
And their personality is okay, most of them are shy/emotional., of coarse.
Well, that's my opinion.. it may not make sense, so whatever.

I LOVE emos!! It makes me really mad when people make fun of them...or call them cutters. Cutters are cutters...not emo.

I have nothing against emos .. I like that they stand out , but when they start to go weird etc I find it weird but other than that I dont have anything agains them

anaxlove I would just like to say (and btw this is not crazy8dude im 1 of his friends) but like I was saying is that emo derives from the term meaning emotional or filled with emotion it is nothing more and nothing less then just a word to describe som1 with lots of motions. now, what today's society has done to this term and what it has made it into is a person that wears lots of black listens to sad or negetive music and possibly the act of injuring ones self. and all that the word emo has been turned into is IMO wrong.

the REAL emos are rad...but there are becoming less amount of emos and more scene kids. well I hate the posers. I dont like the ones that are all depressed because they think they will be classified as emoer if theyre sad.

I love their style. But I dislike their attitude. They think that they can get away with cutting themselves and being depressed with stupid purposes. Everyone's life is equal though we might suffer. We're all able to have choices in what we do.

ugh what bugs me is when people start saying how there is no such thing as emos and that its only music. thats what gets me sooo mad.

and btw not all emos cut. I've had an emo friend, she did, but I no they dont all. they are some of the nicest people if you get 2 no them. sometimes I consider myself emo because I rilly understand them and I feel some of their pain/

idc about emo people, don't have anything against them, sometimes they get annoying though.

I think you grow out of being emo.
