Whats up with parents leaving their kids, for weeks on end

My sister has two children, shes been out of town now 4 over a month I have her daughter my aunty has her son...My aunty has filed for custodty of her son,,,I think thats rude, what should I advise my sister to do, I just told her to come get them, either that or I will take custody of them both.

where does she go when she leaves them

My feeling is,if they can't take care of their own kids then they don't deserve them.I can understand taking a little break, but come on a month...no way.I would file for custody and give her visitation rights so they know their mother,at least till she figures out what she wants.

FIRST OF ALL YOUR SISTER NEEDS TO LEARN TO BE A PARENT AND WATCHED HER OWN KIDS, THE ONLY TIME I WOULD DESAGREE AND THAT'S IF SHE ASKED HER AUNT TO WATCHED HER SON FOR HOW EVER LONG SHE ASKED HER TO WATCHED HIM, AND IF SHE MADE THAT AGREEMENT THEN SHE IS WRONG FOR TRYING TO CALL THE STATE, BUT WERE IS YOUR SISTER? IS SHE AT A JOB SITE? AND IF NOT THEN SHE IS SELFISH FOR LEAVING THOSE KIDS LIKE THAT, I COULDN'T LEAVE MY KIDS LIKE THAT, THAT'S A LONG TIME TO BE AWAY FROM YOUR CHILDREN.

she lives in another part of the counrty, we went and got them, but she hasn't rung to get them back...ummm...I think im getting played, she obviously enjoying herself but I wouldn't go to the extent of becoming their guardians, I think my aunty is doing it for the money!!! I don't like her, she uses drugs.(aunty not the sister)

a lot of teh family have agreed to themselves that my sister is a bad parent, but if they had supported her a lil more than she would have been better

well if you went and got them then take them back!! she didnt force you to take them if you went and got them then there your reasponsibility until you take them to her.

DON'T TAKE THOSE KIDS BACK IF IS NOT A GOOD ENVIRONMENT, THAN YOUR NO BETTER THAN YOUR AUNT, BUT YOU KNOWINGLY KNOW YOUR AUNT DO DRUGS THEN YOU NEED TO PUT YOUR FEELINGS TO THE SIDE AND GET YOUR NEPHEW BACK BECAUSE THAT'S NOT A GOOD ENVIRONMENT FOR HIM TO BE IN NEITHER.

OKAY TTHNX FOR THE ADVISE..I've MADE UP MY MIND, iM GOING OVER TONIGHT TO TAKE MY NEPHEW AND MY NIECE BACK TO MY SISTERS, I'LL STAY FOR A FEW DAYS TO MAKE SURE THEY'RE OKAY AND TELL HER IF SHE DOESN'T GET HER SHE TOGETHER THEN I'LL B back TO GET THEM...AS FOR MY AUNTY, I'VE ALREADY HAD A HEATED ARGUEMENT WITH HER, NUT HEY I TOLD HER I'LL GET HIM AND THATS THAT...ANY ADVISE ABOUT MY NERW PLAN OF ACTION???

tell her your not watching them any more and she needs 2 get her butt home and take care of her kid,s there not your responsibility theres hers and advise her 2 go get some help thats BS she is the 1 who needs 2 take care of them not you and your aunt and if needed tell her you will call DCYF on her people don't miss things till theres gone in life and may b she needs a douse of reality
