whats the best way to raise power and make a spell incredibly powerful, apart from performing it on a full moon, because I want to do 1 next full moon and I want it to work at its most powerful, it needs to be done before my siuation gets any worse

try to surround yourself with candles and incents
it will raise the aura surrounding you

I usually do a full moon ritual. basically I just do stuff like what jester and 13th said. also, think of the power you are trying to use, don't just expect it to be around you (I mean, it's there, but it helps to focus on it) and think of yourself using the power.

Try chanting. cleance your place sit and meditate, start chanting, realy dont matter what find something thats right for you. slowly build it louder and stronger untill your at the peak.
