What is a Social Security Number?

I want to apply for a credit card but it needs SSN. I don’t know about it. Please tell me all about it.

If you don’t live in the USA you probably won’t have a SSN from the Social Security Administration. These are generally issued to citizens of this country at time of birth or once legal immigration has been granted. I noticed you’re from India so I’d first contact the credit card issuer and get further information on how to apply for a credit card in your region. Also, be cautious when applying for credit cards via the internet or from untrusted sources. Make sure when you’re applying for credit that it’s with a reputable company that will keep your personal information safe. Take care and hope this helps. :-) -S
