What was your worst travel experience ever?

My partner and I are in Switzerland for the holidays- on a long train ride yesterday, my partner's bag was swiped by someone getting of the train. The bag contained his new Macbook pro, a rather expensive new watch, but most importantly his passport and...

Irish work permit/immigration documents. We're insured, so we will be able to claim back the cost of the items, but my partner has to get replacement travel documents and a passport to get back to Ireland, which means he's stuck in Switzerland for about an extra week. It's definitely our worst travel experience ever!

What was the worst travel experience you have ever had?

Ugh,

Mine is being stuck in Madrid, Spain. I spent over 24 hours in the airport, and I don't know Spanish. It was pretty awful.

I am sorry, I haven't travelled anywhere. But I am dreaming of travelling all over the world. Can you give me some advice? Thank you very much.

when we went to sydney australia I was sick the whole time and so couldn't see or go anywhere...

When I was heading to california from illinois. We had to get on 2 planes but got late to the second one because the first one was late. Then afterwards, our luggage got lost. And we had to stay for about 3 hours waiting for our luggage to come. It was about 2 am in the morning. Everytime we asked for our luggage, it didn't come. We got home at 7 am. -_- It was horrible. We were starving, we couldn't leave or someone would steal our baggage, and UGH. Just plain awful.
