Thank you pipet, and yes, that is what I was refering to. Jesus had to wrestle with himself, in order to face what was before him.
The blood part, shows us that it was exceedingly difficult for him. That he was certainly not looking forward to this event.
Today, we wrestle with the flesh, also, in lesser ways, but, it is same. He knew what he had to do, yet, he dreaded it with every fiber of his being.
We face sin and temptations in our lives, and have to wrestle with them, also, if we are going to have the victory that is promised in his word.
We are to become overcomers, in every area.
This is the destiny of a child of God.
To face what is hindering us, from fulfillment in him, and overcome it, thru his power.
Jesus is our example.
He faced each new challange with prayer.
He did not have the written word as we do today.
He had the spirit of the Father living within, as do we now, if we have accepted him as Lord.
Jesus was at one point in his life temped by every temptation known to man. So deciding which temptation is greater depends on the person being tempted. What's tough for me might be easy for you and vice versa.
But I personally do not think His walk on earth was easy. If it was, then His temptations would not even be called temptations. They're called temptations because they tempt you. He had to make decisions to not do them.
I think the hardest thing He faced was giving His life. He asked God (twice if im not mistaken) before He knew He was going to be captured and killed, if there was any other way the purpose could be fulfilled without Him dying such a horrible death. But He was obedient and did what He was born on earth to do. I figure that has to be the hardest thing He faced, I mean who looks forward to being beaten and tortured all night in front of people mocking you and daring you to come down if you're "who you say you are". It's awful
"If it were possible, let this cup pass from Me" (Paraphrased)
I believe that Jesus was under great distress not having the presence of God with Him. From eternity Jesus has been with the Father, but those dark hours right before He was taken by the Roman soldiers were the most heart wenching of His whole existance.
