What should I read?

At the moment I’m reading the first book in the Vampier Academy seires, I really wanna read the twilight books I have tried to read the first book and I just couldn’t get thought it and then once I saw New moon I tried to read Eclipse and I got a far way thought but I just couldn’t finish it. I don’t read a lot but I do like reading. Do you think I should read Vampier Academy or tey to read Twilight again and if you think I should read Twilight do you have any ideas on what to do to just keep reading it and get thought it?

I’ve read the first three Twilight books, and I’m a short way through the fourth one. I’m not a crazy fan, but I do find that the books are good. They’re a little dull to start, but I find that when you get deeper into the books, that they get better. It all depends on your personal preferences, though. If it doesn’t interest you, don’t force yourself to read it. If you read it, though, you have to read it from the beginning and keep going. :)

What I found was helpful for me was that I watched the movie first. After I watched the movie I got a general idea of what would happen. I was interested after the movie, so I knew I would be in the book. But since the book is somewhat different, I found that the surprises in the book helped keep me interested more.

If you haven’t watched the first Twilight movie, watch it. Then dive into the first book. Then watch New Moon, and follow it by actually reading New Moon. After that, just continue. If you can’t stay interested enough though - don’t feel bad. It’s not everyone’s thing. Move on to the Vampire Academy books then and enjoy yourself. Liking what you’re reading is more important than reading something just because you want to. :)

Here’s some suggestions: A story of fire and ice series, the first one is called A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. Amazing read. It’s a little more on the fantasy side, but highly recommended.

Also the sookie stackhouse series, if you’re looking for quick fun reads, (it’s a vampire series which was made into HBO’s Trueblood.)

The Shining and Pet Sematary by Stephen King are great if you’re looking to sleep with the light on for a week.

If you’re into comics, The Walking Dead is a really cool series. It’s about a group of people in a post zombie apocalyptic world. (Kinda graphic though)

If you’re into zombies, World War Z is a great book.

If you’re looking for a little mix of everything and don’t mind length, Stephen King’s The Stand is another awesome read. It’s got romance, drama, action, horror, thriller, etc. (Get the uncut version)

I would especially recommend all these if you’re into the thriller, horror, fantasy genre.
