Easier to learn to play piano or guitar?

What's easier to learn to play, piano or guitar? I really want to learn one over the summer. Bass is fun and everything but I think those two would be more rewarding?

I think piano is easier but guitar is a lot funner.

they are both supposed to be equally hard because they are some of the few instruments that you can play chords on and multipule notes and treble and bass clefs... etc...

Most likely piano - but I don't know, it probley varies from person to person. Maybe you should try a little of both to see which one you enjoy more and go with that.

I'm going to say guitar is harder. The reason I say that, is because of the nuances required to attain the sounds people expect out of a guitar. On a piano, your control methods for a given note are how hard you hit the key, how long you hold it down, and peddle control for overall tone. It doesn't matter where you strike the key either, as long as you strike the right one.

On a guitar, to get a single note correctly, requires the right action from both hands. Not only that, but the left hand finger (for right handed players) has to be positioned just right on the fret both vertically and horizontally. Much greater finger strength if also required, and you have only 4 fingers on your left hand to accomplish what you can do with 5 on a piano. Further, there are actually 5 different ways you need to know how to get a note on a guitar to master it; regular picking, finger picking, hammer-ons, pull-offs, and tapping. You also have to know how to bend, how to attain pinch harmonics, palm muting, and a dozen other techniques.

yeah I play bass so I know how to do pretty much everything technique related with the exception of chords (yeah I know it's a big one)

I know piano harder becuese you have 10 finger doing different thing plus your feet must press on one of the 3 large metal or whatever you called it but every one can learn it as long as you don't give up
