Australia has great beaches and is really hot in Summer usually between 26-40 degrees celcius!! I should know- I live here. But thats the temps. from the goldcoast. but it really depends where you go around australia.Darwin and far north qld gets at least 1 cyclone a year and we are currently having a lot of storms. so SA would be best during summer. Most people in australia are nice. some are a little rude and don't care bout anyone. so yer!!

I don't think SA's (South Australia) not that great during summer, I prefer Perth, Western Australia for ALL seasons! Perth is perfect, I love that place - the beaches, the wineries, the lifestyle, the places to see and go, everything. Clear blue sunny skies all round, and when it's winter the air is colder but it's still sunny. Once in awhile you'd get rain in Perth (a bit more during winter), but once it rains, you best take cover and not use an umbrella! The winds are crazy cold and they destroy all open umbrellas lol!
I've not been to Sydney or Brisbane yet but student life in Perth is fantastic. I should know, I studied there for two years, but now I live in SA. I think student life in SA would be so freaking boring! But at least most of the universities are right in the city, so at least you'd get some things to see and do during class breaks. SA would be okay if you like a slow-paced life, hills, and lots of sheep! Melbourne in Victoria would be an interesting place to go study too. Lots of artsy culture there. But the weather there is unpredictable and may rain for 5 minutes and then stop.
As for the temperatures, yep it should be about the 20s to 40s during summer in SA. A little less hot in the other states perhaps, but definitely mostly 40s all the time up north in the Northern Territory. It doesn't rain much here unless it's winter. Winter can be mild, but it can also dip to about -5 degrees Celcius during the coldest times. Winter this year was one of the coldest in history.
Most people are very friendly, very nice. I don't think you'd have a problem with anyone. Though you'd of course meet a few sour grapes here and there but it's usually not because of you, they are usually just annoyed about something else.

What's australia like?
I want to be a foriegn exchange student to Australia. I think it'd be really cool.
But, I think it'd be really cool to know, from people who live there, what it's like.
That being said, can someone tell me what Australia's like? How hot is it...
normally, are people there nice, does it rain/storm a lot? anything would be appreciated. Thanks!
