ROFL!! You are a spiritualist. Which is not a sin. You can get the same spiritualism from the protestant religion, but you will be subjected to the politics of the Church as well as the the elitism (and extremism) of the people that attend. Christian Church would be a good place for spiritual repose if it weren't for the other people there. You are most likely being swayed by the Buddhist beliefs that don't constantly lecture you on morality. If the place you pray tells you something every week that has the power to make you feel guilty, then has you connect with a higher power to resolve that guilt, then you will never feel the positive effects of prayer and spiritualism. Don't mistake me though, I do believe that the Christians can attain this same positive spiritual attunement as the Buddhists, but I believe that the Christians are more handicapped for their need to control people.
I have Christian beliefs, yet I am Muslim on paper, and I practice more of a Yogi/Buddhist spiritual path. If God hated another culture, then this would be a sin. However if God could hate, I don't think I would subscribe to God. (Notice no gender placed on the name God)
I dont think its a sin but your going against god
He says you shouldnt have any other idols
You should believe in anything but me cause I am the only one
Like to take some of what they say and use it as your morals I dont see any harm in that but it saddens God that you think you can be of many religions
If you look ar any religion they have good and bad things in them that you might like or dislike
but if you trully believe in God you shouldnt feel a need or want to look at theseother religions
To be honest God isnt about (religion) its all about having a REAL REALATIONSHIP with him ,,, try to have a strong relationship with him and he will tell you if what you are doing is right are not you will just know
Mainline Christianity teaches that it has a monopoly on truth. Christianity is true and all other religions are false. Not all religions or even all Christians feel this way. Many people feel that there are great truths to be learned from all religions.
Liberal Unitarian Universalist churches often study the teachings of various religions for wisdom, insight, and to understand God better.
The Baha'I faith believes that Zoroaster, Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Krishna, Jesus, and Mohammad were all prophets of God and that each taught what its followers were ready to learn.
There are faiths that integrate different teachings.
Hey honestly, I've studied buhdism for about 3 years, I'm also a little undecided as well, I read a lot of nizche and he's not a big christian believer obviously, but both confuscious and niezche have some amazing thoughts and points to belief, it comes down to if you have faith in yourself or if you need someone to have faith in for you...
both places are search, the difference is the Christian knows where they will wind up. and the buddist is to no direct end, of course thats my understanding of buddhist. and I don't claim to know it all. its the same with Christian people are judged by every mistake someone has encountered by the faith. the things Christians speak of are primarily spoken from Scripture. inspired by God. He says I am the way the truth and the life, no one can come to the Father but by me. now the Christian world is judged for saying what the word of God says. If the bible says it for me that settles it. I had a miraculous experience whith God and when I think of questioning him. that experience helps me to see He came for me, I didn't even know he was available this way.
To be religiously open minded is to be Spiritual.. Religion serves the purpose of answering lifes unanswerable questions and gives us hope.. Keep questioning and seeking.. If we never find the answers; we can sure injoy the process.

What religion am i?

What religion am i?
I grew up being a Protestant,I went to church up until I was 10,I believe in God,And I've found that Praying helps a lot.
However,On the other hand,I Also strongly believe in a lot of the Buddhist Beliefs,Along with Confucious' beliefs.I have friends...
who are buddhists, and I've been to a Buddhist meditation center a few times.
Is it possible to successfully be more than one religion?
Or Is that a Sin?
