What kind of pet should i get?

what kind of pet should I get? I need to keep it in a cage, since we're not going to have a yard, but my dad hates birds..

The one's that I've had that stayed in Cages or Aquariums that I loved were:

-Iguana (my favorite I plan on getting another one soon)
-Bearded Dragon
-Ball Python
-Tarantula
-Ferret

If you're the type that actually like to pet them
-Ferret (sleeps most of the time)
-Chinchilla (nocturnal) high maintenance because they need dust bath. can't get wet.
-Rabbits
-Guinea Pigs

And others...Iguanas, Snakes, Spiders...

Hamsters and Mice are just creepy to me.
