What is your opinion on punk music and classic rock music?

Classic rock is my favorite genre of music. And keep in mind punk rock started in the 70's with groups like the Sex Pistols. It's changed quite a bit since then, but that era of rock was still the best I think.

I love them both but will probably have to go with punk
love the sex pistols and the ramones! as well as some newer stuff
but classic rock is great too

I like both punk and classic rock, but then again I also like classical music, techno etc... Infact I like all type of music except opera. I hate opera!

I still like punk first and then prog rock, not classic.
Most of you are too young to have been around when punk first happened. It was amazing, and finally "killed" all the disco stuff.
MC5 and the cramps...panther burns...

My favorite old school punk band is T.S.O.L. Nothing but heathenism manifested by brash punks...and for no better reason than to foment physical violence. Honesty in other words...even though that honesty arrived via detour. Necrophilia...misogyny...pyromania...the gist of their lyrics in the early eighties...Jack Grisham has a brass pair for certain.

Oooo toughie! I love classic rock (The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Bob Dylan, Manfred Mann's Earth Band), but I also like punk a lot like The Clash, they are my favorite!!! And some other punkish bands...so I guess it would be classic rock for me.
