One of my favourites is from Life of Brian which goes along the lines of:

Why do you keep on about women Stan?

I want to have babies!

You want to have babies? But you cant have babies!

Dont you oppress me.

I'm not oppressing you Stan. You havn't got a womb! Wheres the fetus going to gestate? You going to keep it in a box?

PURE GENIUS!

I love The Holy Grail but my favourite by far is The Life Of Brian...

The one that seems to come up most often in daily life is the dead parrot sketch. I'm constantly hearing dead/obsolete things referred to in Monty Python terms - most British people I know here in France seem to use that one. Is it my favourite, though? One of my favourite bits is a scene rather than a quote, when someone picks up Brian's sandal and wants to venerate it. Very tellling, as is a lot of that film...

Got it! The one I use most is: 'And there was much rejoicing', which comes when they are tragically forced to eat the really bad minstrels in The Holy Grail. For some reason, 'A shrubbery!' was an oft-quoted phrase of my teenage friends. Why on earth did that resonate with them???

And on this website, I sometimes find myself wanting to sing: 'Every sperm is sacred, every sperm is great! If a sperm is wasted, God gets quite irate!', which seems to be a view held by one or two contributors.

Thanks for the question!
