What is the best tax software this year?

It is getting close to that time again and I had to pay way too much in penalties for being late last year on my state taxes. What is the best Tax Software this year? I used TurboTax last year and a free program the year before called TaxAct. I want to really stick it to them this year because I am tired of getting reamed every year by the tax season.

Tax software is great, but the best thing to do, even though it'll cost a few hundred dollars more, is to pay a professional to help you out. They can assist you in maximizing your deductions and avoid overpaying. Software only goes by what you tell it, and doesn't always give you the best explanation that you can understand about the tax rules & regulations.
