It's made of sugar XD
It's basically boiled disolved sugar that is then syrup and then hardened.

Well..it's quite hard to think that the yummy stuff is just pure sugar..I mean we don't just go eating plain sugar..Then again, we don't just eat plain caramel. Hmm some people might..haha Here I am getting confused about sugar and caramel! lol

caramel is made by heating sugar to the point where it melts then partially oxidizes. It is the oxidation that causes what we call the caramel flavor.

Its disolved sugar and boiled till golden brown then heated cream is added to the sugar.That's how it gets its creamy texture.You can make this at home.If your up to it.
