You should experiment in stages...

Think of it this way, a gymnast can't do the splits on the first day of practice. It takes time, to stretch out the muscles and increase flexability. Tearing CAN occur if you are reckless.

it can deff hurt at times...but other times it can be extremely enjoyable. Just take it slow and be sure to stay very open with him about how you are feeling..ex-if you are in a lot of pain then tell him to slow down and to be more gentle. The key thing is communication.
