What is a store credit card?

What does it do? What are the benefits/harms? For example, ANGEL CARDS from Victoria's Secret are actually credit cards. So what are they?

no, there not credit cards
you can only spend the money at that particular store
or at other victoria secret stores
you cant spend the money at any place other than the shop it came from

just like walmart debit/credit card, it's a card that can be used to walmart only, not for other purchases.
