Which tattoo spot hurts more but looks better?

I'm thinking of getting a tattoo done... found two main designs that I want done... although one is for my lower back and one for my hip...
Which one hurts more? As it is my first tattoo and I'm nervous.
Also which one looks better ? I am a size 8-10 (english size)
so help please... xxx

I have both and they both hurt about the same I love both of them both spots are good choices I think you should get the hip one first to see if you like or see how the pain is and then go from there

tender skin areas might hurt as do tougher skin areas hurt worse.

the back hurts the worst to me, because I got a big cross on my back with lots of designs around it an your back is real tender, so I prefer arms are chest area.
