Do you mean 'A white, Anglo Saxen, Protestant' ? Also known as wasp ? If so, I think it is a stereotype used to describe the first wave of immigrants into this country who are now 'middle class to upper class Americans'. If this is not what your question is referring to 'sorry'. I don't think is a stereotype used very often anymore.

Protestants originally were the groups that broke away from the Catholic Church. A person of any race or ethnicity may be Protestant. The movement originated, I believe, with Martin Luther and his ideas.
