What does it take to be a christian singer?

hey, im brent.. and im a very good singer.. im in all choral classes have duets and I love the lord.. I would like to know how to become a christian singer.

Well, the most important thing is to first, pray about it. God will lead you if you let Him. Don't be in a big hurry to jump into anything. Second, and just as important is, what is the motive for this? Self or God's glory? If it's self then forget it. If you want to sing to become famous and rich then it's the wrong reason. If you want to minister to the broken, the hurting, the societal cast aways and give glory, through music, to the God that made you then do it. Having been in a similar situation I know the temptation is to grab whatever comes along BUT, what's easiest isn't always best. Be patient. Seek God's will first and foremost. He will bring people to your path to aid you in your quest if it's His will for your life. In the mean time practice, practice, practice and pray, pray, pray. It takes more than a willingness and a bit of talent to make a go of anything in life.
